Midway Social is the newest local hangout spot for San Diego’s Midway, Point Loma, and Ocean Beach neighborhoods. Started by long time friends TJ Rattray, Blake Poston, and Maddie Newland, Middy’s is serving up elevated woodfired pizza, traditional bar fare, and a curated selection of local beers. We invite everyone to come and join our family—make community connections, watch the game, and enjoy delicious food. Located in the heart of San Diego's Midway District, we're a neighborhood restaurant inspired by the communities that make this city special—surfers chasing early morning waves, skaters spending afternoons at the park, sports fans gathering before and after the game, military families, local professionals, and neighbors looking for a place to connect. At Midway Social, we believe the best moments happen around the table. That's why we've built a welcoming space where everyone feels at home, whether you're grabbing a quick lunch, meeting friends for pizza and beer, bringing the family out for dinner, or celebrating life's milestones.
Cali-politan Pizza, Crafted with Care
Our owners are dedicated to providing the absolute best versions of every dish we serve. Chef Blake Poston has spearheaded our pizza menu—creating his own style he calls “Cali-politan” pizza—inspired by traditional Neapolitan Pizza, but with a California twist. His dedication to local produce, long-fermented dough, and organic ingredients whenever possible make an elevated, yet familiar slice. We are also dedicated to providing an affordable product. As prices everywhere are on the rise, at Middy’s we have something for everyone. Wings, fries, salads, sandwiches are all made fresh in house. We also offer kid’s meals and kid-friendly seating for families of all sizes.
